SEND Day Conference Saturday 23rd March

SEND is a huge issue in education at the moment. We have many students with an enormous variety of special needs and disabilities that come under the heading of SEND and they all deserve the best education we can offer. Autism has been an important area for many of us involved in teaching or supporting education and we are very pleased to be able to offer a high-quality CPD session as part of our SEND day conference. The CPD is FREE to NEU members and non-members can also access the session for a bargain price of £20 (plus £7 if staying for lunch).

There is also a national and local crisis brewing in funding for high-needs SEND students. As teachers, educators and parents this is something we cannot ignore. Our most vulnerable students are at risk of being disadvantaged by this crisis. What is happening and what can we do about it? The afternoon session of our conference will be open to members and non-members, and we hope that we can stimulate a good debate and the beginnings of a serious campaign that involves educators and the public alike.
