Michael Gove is playing politics with our schools. Despite Sinfin getting its best ever GCSE results - 42% - Gove has sacked the Governors and replaced them with an Interim Executive Board with the express brief of forcing the school into becoming an academy with the Greenwood Dale chain. NUT and NASUWT members have voted overwhelming to strike. The first dates will be 18th and 19th December so please send them a message of support via cityofderbynut@gmail.com. Write to Michael Gove to protest at this outrageous imposition of central government over the wishes of the democratically elected local authority, staff, parents and local community.
