Michael Gove's time in office has been marked by a vision of education that is very different from that shared by many teachers and education professionals. Our current dispute with the secretary of state is about more than just pay and conditions but the kind of education we want for our children.
With this in mind, we have organised a Question Time event at the Derby Council House at 6.30 pm on the 18th March.
It will be modelled on the format used for the BBC show, and panellists will debate this issue. We intend to have representatives from the Conservative, Liberal Democrat and Labour parties, plus others to be confirmed, and will be hosted by East Midlands Today's Simon Hare!
We want to involve the public as much as possible in this event, so pass it on!
Tickets
Tickets are FREE but will need to be booked. You can book here.
Questions
Just like the BBC, we will also be asking for questions to be submitted in advance, rather than during the debate. We would like you to submit questions through Twitter. Our Twitter account is @CityofDerbyNUT
More details will be available soon!
