STOP PRESS!
The NUT's continued pressure on the Secretary of State for Education seems to be having some effect - he has finally agreed to attend talks with the Unions. This movement has been forced on him by the NUT's campaigning and willingness to take further strike action. In order to show goodwill and give the talks every chance of success, the NUT has suspended the strike planned for the week beginning 23rd June. If insufficient progress is made in the talks the NUT plans to join with other public sector unions in taking strike action on 10th July - watch this space.
We will continue with our public campaign STAND UP FOR EDUCATION and if you can get involved then please get in touch. (See previous post).
