GOVE GONE ! !

 
The chants on Thursday's brilliant strike and rally were GOVE MUST GO! Well he has gone!  Unfortunately, this does not mean that all his lunatic 'reforms' will be rolled back - they are government policies not just those of Michael Gove.

Nevertheless, his departure to a demoted post is significant as it could point to a more conciliatory stance being taken by the government in the lead up to the general election. The cynical amongst us may see this as a ploy by Cameron to derail our opposition to the government attacks on teachers and education, but there can be little doubt that the NUT strikes have played a part in Gove's downfall and that he was increasingly seen as a liability by Cameron.
