Demonstrate Against the Budget 8th July

After the stunning national Peoples' Assembly demonstration in London on Saturday June 20th, the local People's Assembly group in Derby has called a demonstration on Wednesday 8th July as part of the national day of action as Osborne unveils his 2nd budget in 4 months, and in which a further £12 billion in cuts have been promised.

Join the demonstration against the budget at 5.30 pm, junction of St Peter's St and East St!

Four Too Young To Test meeting, 14th July

The NUT's Four Too Young To Test campaign is really taking off! Raising awareness amongst parents as well as teachers is vital to build for a national boycott of these tests when the government tries to make them compulsory in September 2016.

The campaign group 38 Degrees are hosting a meeting on the 14th July all about the Four Too Young To Test campaign, and one of our members from Nottingham, Louise Regan, will be speaking about the campaign.

Come down to show your support, find out more and get involved in making this campaign a success! Help us to reject this culture of continuous, pointless and stressful testing that does nothing to help students but will be used to penalise teachers.

14th July, 7 pm
The Quaker Meeting House,
56 St Helen's St, Derby, DE1 3GY
