The NUT in Derby is taking a lead in organising the coaches that will be going to the demonstration outside the Tory party conference on Sunday 4th October.
In the wake of the massive People's Assembly demonstration in London on June 20th, at which our General Secretary, Christine Blower, spoke, the People's Assembly and the TUC have called for an even bigger event in Manchester this October.
Since their election earlier this year, the Conservative government has forced through more and deeper cuts to public services, including but not limited to education, and Nicky Morgan has shown herself to be committed to the same destructive policies as her predecessor, Michael Gove. If these devastating cuts and policies are to be changed we need to put as much pressure as we can on this government, right from the start.
