Below is an update about the Health Campaigns Together activities that several of our members have been involved in supporting.
Currently there are proposals to shed 535
beds, nearly a third of hospital beds in Derbyshire. (For more
information on the cuts in your area look at

Having
gathered more than 4000 signatures (on paper and on-line) from within Derby
City we’ve reached a crucial point in our campaign - we’re going to be
delivering our petition to Derby City Council and we are entitled to
introducing a half hour debate at the full Council meeting. The more of us that
are there, the more impact we can have.
Indoor and Outdoor Rally
Outdoor rally starting from that Wednesday,
November 22nd, from 5.15pm. Council meeting starting at 6:00pm.
Derby City
Council, Corporation Street, Derby, DE1 2FS.
Speakers
at the rally will include Councillor Martin Repton and, also, Maureen
Scott-Douglas from the Unite Union Health Workers branch.
Please
tell people about this and let us know you are coming by signing up on our 38
Degrees RSVP link
NEXT TARGET 7,500 SIGNATURES FROM
ACROSS THE COUNTY.
We are
still collecting signatures and when we get 7,500 from across Derbyshire we can
trigger a similar debate in the County Council. Share the petition one more
time:
