It seems strange to be writing this invitation to a meeting when we have no idea if it will be safe to hold it, but until we are closer to the time we are going ahead with the assumption that the AGM will happen.
It is of course, very likely that we will have to cancel it, but for now we are going to assume that the government will start to take the necessary steps to slow the spread of the disease in short order and the extreme pressure on the NHS will be averted, with the beginnings of relaxation of restrictions just in time for us to have a great event. Or to put it another way, OK, so we're probably not going to have an AGM this year, but everything is changing so rapidly at the moment and there is a lot that could be done to improve the situation, so we won't make the decision to cancel or not until closer to the time.
The AGM is our biggest meeting of the year and we hope that it is safe to hold it. We have a great speaker lined up and it will be a great evening.
If you are able to RSVP and/or have any items for the agenda, please email kieran.picken@neu.org.uk
If you would like to be on the committee and/or take on an officer position, please use the nomination form here.
Below is the draft agenda, we will add to it as we get items in. Closing date for items for the agenda is Wednesday 13th May.
